we should do some online tBG games of C&C: Generals such a quality gamenot really played it...the one time i did it was impossible to complete the 1st mission, the last (or possibly only) mission objective simply wouldn't complete!
mmm...
Generals is good but Zero Hour is much better, and the AI is very much improved. Personally thou I never play RTS at LAN's, takes too long for me. That was a one off that wont be repeated :)

If everyone one agrees to play agressely they can last around 30mins and be a bloody good game of no stop violence, much like TA was, contant attacking, waiting for the break :)
I'm up for some C&C or War3 at the LAN, but I haven't played a Strat game for a long time and my skills in that area are very delicute, they need constant pratice. now a game of ET on the other hand :D
Oh hell YEAH!! Bring on ET, I am well up for that at the LAN. Been playing as much as I can atm but my housemate has found bittorrent and my upload is normally far to high to make the game playable.

ET looks ok only played it once at tmg.spcc but it was still a good game and i'm sure i'll rule you all at it, just as long as you don't make me play normal wolfenstien

et is basically a highly polished version of wolf, and its pretty good - btw, this is officially the most successful thread on this iteration of the forum so far :D
ET may look similar to Wolf but plays soo mcuh better and not only encourages team work but really rewards it. If you dont work together you will get owned (unless you have me or Dave on you team :p )

Can someone just clarify exactly what Zero Hour is...i've heard both thats its a stand alone game and a general add on...?

Well its odd, and its more EA stupidity. it IS an addon in that it NEEDS C&C:G to work, but you don't have to install it into the C&C:G Dir it can be installed totaly seperate allowing you to play C&C:G or C&C:G:ZA without conflict, with that said you CAN install it into the C&C:G Folder and it'll work without any problem, but the online portion of the game gets anty with everything...
Its all very odd, and it has to be said that EA really did do a good job of messing C&C:G up, its Networking is the worest seen in any game, it can may a 2Mbit connection look unstable, and if you have a firewall, your fucked. even if you allow it access, oh routers too. It wont go around them even if its all fowarded :)
Anyway! Its an addon, that changes the style of play quite dramaticaly, instead of having 3 teams, you have 9 generals, (3 for each team) but each general has a speacial ability, like advanced tanks, or better planes, or cheaper Weaps of mass destruction and the sort. it adds a new level of stratagy to the game.

Also the great thing about ET/DC is there watchable. CS becomes very boring even with a good team playing when your watching it. Admittidly the tactics shine through, but it still boring, where as a good game of DC/ET can be funt to watch, esp when fragged!

Ahh yes, will be good to start playing these games again once i get home. Had a distinct lack of gamage recently, so blowing up and/or maming a few people will be nice...in the game sense ofcourse
