Hi got simcity4 for xmas and I really need some help please. I read in the book and online that you can create a residential citys in one region and a industrial citys in the next, close by. I did this but can't seem to get my sims to commute between the two even though I have a good road, bus & railway connections between the two. My industrial city dosn't grow because of a lack of labour and my residental city stagnates because of unemployment. Are sims a lot like some humans I know, too lazy to travel for a job? Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong so I can get these lazy sods back to work and build an empire>>
many thanks rad.

what u need to do is build up one city 1st, of all types, and then start by building a communter town, and slowly phase out the resedential in the 1st. But still look at the RCD indicator, as the new city may still require industrial zones. Also good transport links dont mean the sims will travel, they have to have some reason to travel, ie what they want so check your giving them what they want there.
