Im just wondering what games where all waiting for in 2004.
Personally its Rome total war, D3 and Desus Ex Invisible War (which technically i have, but its a us version) and Halo 2 (even thou its on an xbox, i still love its visual style.) Also warhammer online (http://www.warhammeronline.com) is looking mighty tasty.
In other news, Rockstar have copyrighted the names GTA 5, and GTA 6 and also GTA San Andreas (which is the full title of GTA 5.) This is going to be the last game to use the GTA 3 engine (after GTA 3 and Vice City (GTA 4)) and GTA 6 is quoted to be a next gen console game :(

GTA's formula is amazing it have become a game like Fifa or Grand Trismo, with each new graphical generation or new city to play it, a new game will come. and people will buy.
Personaly the Idea of GTA5 and 6 sounds good to me :) All it really needs is more, nothing needs to be changed. just more missions, more cars, more citys, more more more.
Games of 2004?
For me, Half-Life 2 (of course, But then I already own it...), Lineage 2 (MMORPG), Dungeon Seige 2 (RPG) there are prolly more but thats what comes to mind as I right this. Oh there is also the roumoured RTS from GPGames (Makers of Dungeon Siege and Total A (well the project lead is anyway)) It won't be TA3 as Firaxis (Sid Meier) owns the rights. But it should be something speical! and of course there is TA3 assuming Sid makes it..

Top of my wish list would have to be ROME Total War. The other two games i'm looking forward to the most would probably be Half-Life 2 (obviously) and Unreal Tornament 2004.

Ah yes, Battlefield Vietnam...also looking forward to playing that. Watched all the preview videos and it does look kick ass.
Has anyone ordered thier copy of HL2 yet with a Radeon? I have my card and number but I wanted to know exactly what happens if you want a copy of the game? Does it get posted or is it a coupon you get?

Heh, if I like Lieage 2 when I actually get to play it you prolly wont see me for a long while :) and I know I will like DSII so you wont see me until that is complete either..
Anyone remeber my suddern disappearce around the same time as SW KotOR? that was no coincident ;) That game was played until completed :D
I seem to be like that with games, I get one play it until its completed and absoulaty nothing more can be done then I get bored again... To futher prove this, you know FFX? well I've completed it 100%, all optional quests, caputred 10 of ever creature, got all the celestrial weapons, beaten all unquie monsters inculding peniucla (the final uber hard near impossible to win vs boss - not part of the story line)... humm oh dear.
Think I might start playing Shinning Forces again and complete it once more (6 or so times so far), speaking of SF, they are making a new one for the gameboy advanced \o/ just as well that I have an emulator then :D

Found a game that could be a lan classic, Joint operations
(http://www.joint-operations.com/)
Blatent stolen text follows!
"The game re-creates the Indonesian jungles with heavily forested environments, including maps set across multiple islands. Players can traverse the terrain on foot or with a wide selection of vehicles, including Chinook transport helicopters, LCAC hovercraft, humvees, patrol boats, Zodiac rafts, and more. A single-player mode will be available, but it will be secondary to the focus on large-scale multiplayer battles."
The game is based on the delta force BHD engine, which has had about a years work done on it, DFBHD is an underplayed multiplayer game, but it kicks ass! The game is quoted as having maps of at least 2 km in size, 2 thirds as large as the largest BF map! The largest map is said to be 64KM squared! this makes it look kickass, and will NEED team play to even cross the maps, let alone capture spawns. Also there are real time server controlls, dynamic lighting that can be left in real time, or controlled by the server admin, and even a proper level editor and mod tools.
Release date of march this year! BEFORE TBG 13!!!

That game is looking pretty sweet :) I'm digging that Rib in the water shoot.
As long as the game play lives up to the graphics I think it might be one of the silent winners of the year.
Indeed this looks very good.
/me adds to list :)

As long as the game play lives up to the graphics I think it might be one of the silent winners of the year. Its DFBHD, it will rule unless monkeys did the mapping (dosnt look like it) or the coding (pc gamer have played it, and i quote "fricking cool" was mentioned so that looks unlikely too!)
oh and the lcat is suppose 2 be in the dc extended i think, but it was supposed 2 be in dc, but there arnt any real dc aquatic assault maps that would need humvees on them. Saying that a humvee would be funny on the oil rig level!

Ah shit, its a Delta Force game, every single one of those games sucked major ass and had dire pysics, and Novaworld makes EA Online look good.
Oh well, It was looking like a good game...
