Now THAT's just stupid... Imagine the PSU you'd need for that, let alone the ear muffs to block the noise, and the cooling system.

Hence why its not avalable to the consumer market yet! But reading other articles about it, the enourmous passive cooler, only had 60mm fans on it, as thats all it needed, ablet four of them!

Omg sex.
Now just think about adding PyscX Pysics Processing Unit along side that. You could render Toy Story in real time :D

Bollocks you couldnt its not quite up to a renderfarm standard!
Also nobody has said anything about the OEM windowed Harddrive!
Correct me if Im wrong(I think it happened once before) but Quad SLI is really twin dual GFX, meaning you get 2 outputs each which is using 2 GFX cards so not true quad imo. The result of this, you can output to 2 display devices, each with incredably accelerated GFX.
So once you spend over ?1600 to buy all 4 cards, what can you actually do? There are no games to date that support twin monitors, and even high end graphics users arent going to want that sort of quality on 2 monitors at the same time.
My conclusion, Dell will never actually release this product because there just isnt a market for it. Its all a big stunt to promote their XPS computer.
Additionally, do we even have the power from other components to feed 4 of these things enough so they will all be heavily loaded, I dont recon so.
EDIT: pete posted while I was writting mine. As for windowed HDD, it might be cool if you had somewhere to mount it where you could actually see it...... me, I use the HDD cage.

More to the point the CPU will be a bottle neck beyond bottlenecks there isn't a fast enough CPU to support these its like pushing a basket ball through a straw just aint gonna happen :S. No point really until software developers and game designers can actually use quad sli dual sli dual core whats the point the games still run the same as they would on a single card, yes sli does work in some instances but its still not running at its full potential and it wont for a long while yet as unfortunatly unlike the console business every pc is different and devolopers have ot account for the poor individuals that can't afford a ?10,000 pc.

The gigabyte 4 card board was the one that was dual sli, aka sli with 4 screens, this on the other hand acording to the nvidia press release this is the first true 4 card sli, which the next greatest factor as morgan said, it will be stupidly bottlenecked by anycpu on the market today.
As for power, it wont "eat" as much as you think, the 7800 chipset was orignaly based and built as a mobile graphics chipset, it uses a lot less power than a 6800ultra, and also runs a lot colder (that little setup could be run on a true 600watt psu most probs) , hense they only have single slot heatsinks also the fact that if some of the gtx cards drop below 30c they simply switch off as it renders them in standby mode. (theres since been a bios to fix this) still uterly pointless, till the cpu technology catches up ;)
that new raptor looks pretty mint. mind your would it be the looks or the capacity your buying it for

well that kinda answers all the power questions, two are powered via the internal psu, the other two require external power adapters, sheer madness :p
