im getting bored of the fan noise now and i want to get some gd overclocking out my 2500+ but with out the noise hense its about time i go for watercooling Since i have a bigger case now... (thanks Windibob for his old Lian-Li pc-05)
the layout of the pc-05 is the same as the pc-65/60 just with out the hd tray behind the front intakes. this gives me enough room for a 120 mm rad... i saw the same sort of thing in Tau's case (p.s nice res. were u get it)..
im looking at the waterchill cpu/vga kit ... as it seems to all fit in the lian-li quite nicely... and i think it would be a squeese trying 2 fit a 1/2" kit in there
and can anyone who has put a 1/2"(danger den style) kit or a Waterchill kit in a lian-Li tell me how hard was it 2 cram it all in there
THz

I am running a Waterchill system in a very small case. It is very easy to fit but the only thing that is slightly constricting is the pipe work. It is fairly tough (which is a good thing) but it does make it put pressure on things. The best advice is to cut it to the correct lengths so it fits perfect. If you have have room for the rad the kit should be no problem to fit.

hum.. yer the frount of this case has space were the 2 frount intakes are and the aluminum is frezzing Even when the rest of the case is hot so i would think the rad. might no be a problem but were is the best place to have the pump and res.
i would have thought res.. is best being higher?
I saw Tau had put his res at top and pump in 3/4 cd rom bay but as my drive bays are taken... cd/rw ,dvd/rom ,live drive , and Akasa rheobus, and the other place is by the pci cards and my sound card is in the last pci islot i suppose i could move it ,but it has got a fat ide lead comming off it to the live drive. :(
Where theres a will, theres a way....
There are almost always parts available to suit your needs and the space you have available. There are even reservoirs that you can mount on the outside of your case, but i don't think they're too practical if you move your pc around a lot.
I would recommend the Waterchill kit highly, both Jynx and I have one and they're really good for the first time watercooler! Esp now the v2 comes with a Black Ice Pro Rad, its even better value :)
I would highly recommend push-fit connectors rather than barbs, as they tend to cut down on the leaks.
Some people say placement and order is important, others don't. I don't care, I chose the order and placement purely for aesthetic qualities as I like the inside of my case to look nice (Not that it does atm)

nothing wrong with my cpu, its just the cooling.. :( its silent at the moment it completly zalman cooled... cnps 6000 ,grey gfx thingy and blue northbridge block.but it just cant hack the cooling... iv got a 2500+ with a AXQEA core which and easly do a oc to 3200+ and is stable at stock volts. left prime 95 on overnight and toast :D
but the zalman cant hack the temps... allas water is the only option :P
i use 1/2" danger den stuff and i love it. Its great quality stuff and in my opinion is the best at what it does, they have been around since the beggining. I have a maze 2 block for sale actually if you are interested
http://www.dangerden.com/mall/blocks/maze2.asp
im using a 220 watt pelt at the moment with a maze three water block and a ford sierra heater matrix for a rad. It all works very well as my computer idles at around -10 and goes to 5 or 6 degs under full load (i have a p4 2.8 @ 3.5). Im in the middle of a complete break down/guide of my system actually, should be done soon.
Btw i wouldn't reccomend pelts if you are new to water cooling, there are alot of extra thing that need to be considered, but i wont go into that now ;)

how much? u floging the maze to for?
p.s not to keen on pelts they create condesation :(
what pump u using adds?
ive got the Eheim 1250 pump and i custom made my res.
ive just had a look and i cant find the threads for the hold down mechanism so ill sell it for about 20 quid. You can just go to b and q and pick up some new bolts and nuts for the hold down. I have every thing else for it, the extra cold plate etc.
and yes pelts do create condensation that why you need to insulate them properly ;)

ill probily buy your maze2 block addz as a spare of to see if it gives better temps if not I can put it in my dads pc lol to see if it gives him any better temps than the inovatek block. :D
will it work on amd's? arnt the p4 holes diffrent?
It is an Athlon block, from addz's old machine.
