Far Cry

As some of you may know I was accepted into the Far Cry Beta, They have now released a Single Player Demo so you can see what it is like, the demo has a few of the fixes we pointed out in the Beta, but many of the bugs we found still remain - but will be removed prior to gold release (thank god).

So have you played it yet? If so what do you think of it :) I'm unfortunatly under an NDA so I'm not allowed to speak about it :( However I guess I can say I felt the Single Player Demo was far to short, if you actually do the mission and don't go looking at the pretty island.

Yeah I snagged the Demo and played it out all to quickly. The game seemed a bit jumpy on my system which may mean that it wanted more memory as it seemed to disk swap somewhat AKA BF1942 without 512 of ram.

Game was very pretty and my only real dissapointment was the AI as I expected a lot more. I intend to give it another whirl without the AI adaptive thing ticked. Hopefully that will explain the sloath like reactions of the Enemy.

yeah, that really annoys me, why the hell should i signup just to download a single file - i'm probabaly not even going to ever look at the site again

yeah and all the decent speeds are on the ones you sign up for the basterds. I always use blueyonder for most things their ftp keeps me going

Signing up for a GameSpy ID isn't really a problem its just like most other sites, used to track you around there network, and you also need one if you subscribe to GameSpy Dialy and FilePlanet Weekly, The problem is WAITING. If don't want to wait you have to pay, and it isn't cheap. So I just find another server and/or Wait, but I que like 6-7 things :).
