http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/wireless/asus-wl700ge-wifi-router-builtin-160gb-drive-itunes-and-bittorrent-193470.php
Finally someone has thought about what people might actually want on their lan and built it into a router:
Full normal router stuff plus:
webserver
160GB HD
iTunes Network server
Bit Torrent Client
FTP Client
USB HD Expandability
Network printer support
Currently selling in US for $295 ~ ?160 so not that much more than a decent router. Add to that mix even the equivilent of a 160GB NAS and I think that's a good price!
Personally, I want one!!!

160 Gig is a little small and managing multiple drives is a real pain but its interesting that poeple are actually offering this. I wonder what torrent client it uses because a lot of them tend to use a lot of ram and processing power.

managing multiple drives is a real pain Divx on one
Music + photos + other on another?
Max is only going to be 3 drives.
I wonder what torrent client it uses because a lot of them tend to use a lot of ram and processing power.I'd imaging something like bit comet which is designed for low cpu and mem usage.

I hate to supply the obvious answer, but this is REALLY easily achieved with a little linux box - the thing is almost certianly running some linux anyway..

Thing is its a little linux box, that works out of the box, not a desktop case, that needs configuring.

this is what i want its perfect!!! I was gonna go down the linux box route but if i can find a unit like this its perfect bearing in mind it will be pretty much zero config and totally silent it beats any standalone PC hands down for basic web and torrent functions!!!
