The news wasn't quite as quick in coming as we (you?) might have hoped but here is a snippet at last.

Unfortunatly we were unable to secure our usual location over christmas for a festive-period BIG GAME due to the school holidays falling at most inconvientient times. A major military operation was narrowly avioded when the higher end of the British Government instead agreed with us that sometime in the spring would probably be a better time for an event anyway.

Don't get me wrong, it was a close call, gringo *almost* transformed from pure rage at the idea of missing the mince pie goodness and we only just managed to keep him under control; I can only imagine the headlines (ideas on a postcard) if gringo had torn apart half the cabinet (then again, at least we'd get another election...).

So, news is: tBG20 is going to be early next year, dates will be announced as soon as the location is confirmed but the smart ones out there will probably be able to work them out before then.

(and there may well be mince pies!)

Update:

I would like to predict that the next event will be either 9-11th, or 16-18th of February 2007. This would coincide with school half-term week which is 12-16th.

If it won't be this early then I guess it's a wait until the beginning of April during the Easter Holidays (2-13th April) and one of those weekends instead.

Yes thanks to putty's mum, I believe, who helped along the festivities last year. Just need to bung some in the freezer this time round and get them out again before the event :?)

Any more news?

If its Feb there might be a few mince pies left about, however if its pushed back to Easter, surely it should be easter eggs instead... mmmm....

We've debated both, but I'm thinking easter might be too long of a break. Location is *pretty much* there, but we're only penciled in at the moment so we can't confirm :(

It's a pain - we're trying but suffering by being let down by our location.

We don't want to compromise the size or flexibility of location we have too much so basically just have to hold out for some available dates.

We're trying to get an event booked, but it will likely be a while off yet - perhaps a mini-game in the future to tide everyone over? :)

what about the other place you used when the school was closed down?

Mini game would be good - I'm back down in Soton in a month I hope, providing my job pulls through. Even if I'm not... I can drive down for a weekend :D

We're considering it, but unfortunatly it has nowhere near the facilities of Wildern when it comes to space, interweb, parking etc..
