HI i got the water chill vga/cpu andnb and the l30 pump but tbh the pipes that come with the waterchill kit are so small and weedy so im going to upgrade them to 1/2" but what are the sizes of the water chill bsp threads? 1/4" or 3/8"
not the barb end the bsp end i.e the internal thred of the res.rad.and waterblocks?
can anyone help
Thz sc4mpi
tbh gota ask the simple question, why? You wont get a greatly improved flow rate(which in turn could help temps) and you will lose the anti-leak protection that the kit gives you, probably its best feature.

Suppose ill haft to but i realy cba to drain it again :(
sometimes a slightly lower low rate can improve performance, as the water can absorb more heat in one go. Also the water can be cooled much more effectivly through the rad as it basically spends more time in there.

well i drained it :(
removed the barbs and found this the rad. and gfx block use 1/4" threads , cpu ,northbridge, and res. use 3/8" thread and the pump uses 1/2"
Have you read anything me or Addz have written? Please remember Addz has been water cooling for over 4 years!

yes lol but the point is that the pipes are only 10mm OD and a measly 8mm inner . ADDZ's has danger den stuff and is using a heatermatrix all half inch ID piping and barbs. when i brought the waterchill i planed to change the barbs somewhen but i dint think the pipes supplyed were so weedy, i thought they were 10mm ID. tbh im not getting the performance i need.
You have to remember that ChillBlast put a lot of research into the system before they mass produced it. The pump is matched to the pipes, rad and block. If you are going to change the pipes you should change the pump to a suited one also.

I had this in mind before i bought the kit i got the l30 pump rather than the l20 cause the l30 does 1200l/hr which i belive is powerfull enough. if not then i seek advice on a better pump. ADDZ?
