World of Warcraft?

.... I jest!! I jest, stop throwing things at me!!

SC2 and TF2 will most likey be the most played games for me, but some BF2142 will go down well too.

Homeworld 2 is a cool idea, I seem to remember the netcode being better than the we're-playing-four-seperate-games-together attempt in the first version.

Flatout is good, but has a kinda limited player cap - that said I'm not sure how many people we'll actually be able to get at this event :P

I've bought Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and suffice to say it's seriously not working well. The demo ran fine, but they must have done something to fuck up the release version because it's non stop using 100% of my CPU, therefore the game runs like a slideshow no matter what settings I use for it, maximum or minimum. I've been reading of lots of other people with the same issue, and yes my CPU meets the recommended requirements for the game.

It's actually damn damn good fun, (Think Wolfenstein ET but just Quake themed), but I'm stuck with pretty much playing an engineer, medic or field ops classes which don't require too much direct shooting. Hopefully they'll patch it soon since it's now out in the US too, and fix whatever the hell they screwed up prior to the demo.

SC2, C&C3, DoW, UT2K4 all sound great as always :¬)

i have to say Homeworld 2 to is soo much easyer to play i tried to play homeworld 1 after i finished HW2 and it took me a about an hour to get used to the controls but i havent seen any space based RTS that has come close to HW2 in terms of gameplay

Agreed homeworld 2 has a much better interface which makes the game manageable (not so much right clicking on tiny things and it scales to 1600x1200 properly).

I didn't realise but I had only played the 1st one until the other day.

Total Annihilation......SC didn't live up to my standards as a sequel :(

Good ole battlefield person myself, BF2, 2142.

Maveric
10-17-2007, 02:26 PM
ye i aint a huge fan of SC, mainly cus it crashes about 20seconds after the game starts... but ye Bf2/2142 - rock on, gonna be loads of big games of this. Remember guys... flags....

Medal of honour: Airbourne. brought it earlier couldn't find the LAN mode though only online via gheyspy. anyone else had any luck with this?

Can we have some old school games? Im thinking like Q3, UT2004, CS (1.6 ofcourse) to liven things up when we all get a bit bored of nice graphics and things that die when they are supposed to?

SweetSugarHigh
10-17-2007, 09:29 PM
Wayhay....I like a bit of 2142.....;)

Seems my WoW addiction has bled me dry, and I'm trying to choose which games to buy.

I've got CS:S, DoW and BF2142 and I'm downloading the UT3 demo as I type. I suppose my pennies will be spent on the Orange Box and Unreal Anthology (as that contains UT2004).

Am I going to have to get CS1.6 rather than CS:S? I don't think I can handle the retro-nature of 1.6

frodo
10-18-2007, 09:13 PM
Well ive got 2142, havent even installed it yet but i will.

I was really hoping cod4 demo would be MP :( real shame as i wanted to play it @ TBG and get a proper feel for it over lan.

Kid-A
10-19-2007, 03:22 PM
how much is the UT anthology? ?15 at Game isnt it?

frodo
10-22-2007, 07:18 PM
CS:S At tbg would be mint imho

2142 seems to be quite good, just ranking up my player today by being commander.

Its quite hard when you start out as the stock guns are pretty shart, so the level'd up people have an instant advantage!

@ Kid-A

The Unreal Anthology is just £9.98 at Amazon and for that value I need to buy it.

I'm sure it'll bring back memories of when I put the Quake III Arena demo on all my school PCs before the IT guys seemed to realise... that was a LAN party that went on for many a breaktime.

EDIT: Damnit, I've missed the bargain boat. The price has now increased to £14.98! Still very affordable though.

Don't worry frodo, I only use the stock guns for 2142. To much time playing clanmod. Though it's great to take down all the voss L-AR guys with my SCAR-11 :p

(KKND)Solid Snake
10-24-2007, 08:26 PM

Maveric
10-24-2007, 09:18 PM
ye sure C&C would be cool. which though?

Definately gonna have to get some games of burnout on the go aswell. thats so awesome in multiplayer

Kid-A
10-24-2007, 10:29 PM

Maveric
10-24-2007, 10:57 PM
