tBG22 - Official feedback

Well we are starting the packup soon so I thought I would put a preemptive strike on the forum.

It certainly goes down as one of the hotest tBG ever, the heat was a constant battle all weekend so thank you for putting up with that.

Please post all your comments and thoughts on the event, we look forward to all constructive review.

But seriously, good LAN. A few little niggles but nothing too major.

this was a really good event hope i can go to the next one and there was alot of time where nouthing was going on ...

It was really good, although I missed the ET:QW 'cos I was busy playing Rock Band :¬P

Fun stuff all around, but I definitely think the heat made everyone quite lethargic and there was indeed quite a bit of time with not much going on apart from people milling around chatting and stuff - BUT that's not necessarily a bad thing! It was great to chat with everyone rather than just sticking my nose in front of the screen the whole event.

Cheers guys, I had a good time (And will be back ofc next time to try to win another piece of cable... maybe one with two T connectors in it this time!)

Good event in my books with the only down points being unavoidable.

I played quite a few games though the heat did slow things down a bit. Really enjoyed the big games of UT2004 and COD4 and some of the games of cod 4 that just came together were a really good laugh too. It was also good to have a bit of a play on quake 3 and to get back to a game of DoW even if I did just get pasted :(. Teeworlds was also a good laugh as at the last event. I didn't notice a lack of games per say if I wasn't playing anything I just went around and had a chat with people to see if anyone was up for a game of something then either hosted it or got someone to run a listen server.

It was good to see quite a few new faces (or am I just getting old and losing my memory).

The harder to hack shoutbox led to some useful stuff actually being posted on it instead of just image spam though the image spam was usually more amusing than the regular spam.

Cool new projectorgames stuff especially the flying games and the go go gadget thing.

Rock band was a good laugh but not when trying to get some kip at 4am :(

The only real down points were the heat and the network switch dieing for no obvious reason on the friday. Good job getting it up and running again.

Cheers to whoever brought the air bed pump that I borrowed. Blowing up an airbed at 2am without it would have been hellish.

Hey TBG crew and all who attended just wanted to say that this was awsome , as my first LAN event i was abit cautious on what it would be like , but it turned out that everyone there was friendly . Just like to thank Jynx and SGT_Snacks for helping me with the problems that occured.

Humid conditions (to be fair this isnt really anybodys fault)

Enjoyed the LAN and was good to see some of the old faces again. Also it was well attended. I have to echo the sentiments with regards to large periods of no gaming and hold my hand up to not helping by playing Supreme comander for hours on end.

What I did play was mared by technical difficulties dispite the fact I had the opportunity to fix them. My wireless keyboard and mouse seemed prone to inteference which was tolerable for Supreme Commander but dire for my spells on COD4 and BF2. Also not fetching a mouse mat especially when I should of learnt my lesson from previous LANs was probably a slap wrist for me.

Yeah it was hot but then it was hot everywhere and the event finished all to quickly. Roll on the next event I say and again well done all.

nad another event under my belt, was another good event but like others thought that the big gaps of 'no games' could have been sorted!

Shame it was so dam hot, but id only moan if it was so god dam cold :D
