seeing as its a rather old ish game in terms of requirements what the lowest type of specification have you run it on/think would run it?

basically have a mate who is interested in it but doesnt have any £££ to really spend on a newer PC.

i was thinking of 1st gen athlon 64 with a late AGP gfx card and as much ram as possible, which can be grabbed off ebay for reasonable cash (any 1 know of something like this for sale?)

I know they upgraded the graphics engine in a patch a little while back don't know how much difference it made/if it can be turned off etc.

I've seen it run on a NC10, so a 1 ghz atom with a gig of ram and a intel graphics, its not any kind of hog in that respect.

on a NC10 thats good going, i really rate those :)
im always wary of the quoted specs tbh
looks like a fresh install and giving it a go is the way forward
