New tBG video!!! HOT HOT HOT!

You may have notice at tBG13 that addz was wondering around with a video camera, well it was all for a uni project and the finished product is now available for download. This is the longest tBG video yet and shows almost everyone's PC who went to tBG13 (be it in a flash of monitor glow).

Its a great video to show friends to explain the event and show them what you did when you werent about for a few days. The file is in torrent format and heavily seeded so dont worry about speed. Now Once you have watched this video I know its going to make you wanna LAN again so I thought I would include a little info about the next event.

Basically as most of you know we are looking for a larger location to support more people but at the moment the search is proving fruitless and we have 1 real option left to try. If we are successful or not has no real impact on when we announce but it effects YOU. If we can not get a new location we are going to have to cap the event at a similar number to before (80) and once we are sold out that will be it. So if you really wanna come to the event please check the forums/website regularly and get those NOCHEX accounts setup as it will be first paid getting confirmed seats.

Jynx, a nice long entry here :P. You were talking about looking for a new location, well Bitterne Park School in Southampton has two big gyms which are linked by a double-door, making passing through easier, I'm making an assumption but I think one Gym is equivilent to the Wilvern hall you normally use so could mean double the people, I can get more information for you if you are interested as I attend the school "For another 3 days anyway". The two Gyms are fairly big and I can consult the school to ask about power. I'm pretty sure they'll let us because they let people hire the hall, why not the Gyms? lol. The chairs won't be a problem, just probably plastic chairs like a Wilvern school. The school also has good parking next to the gyms, but the bigger parking space is on the other side of the school :( I might also know some people who would like to attend the event as well :P. It is also not far from the other location in Hedge End. It's a suggestion anyway if your interested. I'll be happy to help with information.

I thought school gyms have special waxy coatings which they don't want to get scratched to buggery by shoes/chairs/cables. Hence why they make you take your shoes off to do PE in them :?)

Well yeah, one Gym does, the other doesn't, but having said that, when I can't be F***ed with PE, I walk around on the waxy floor with school shoes on, infact the waxy floor gym is used for basketball, which requires shoes unless you want painful feet after. It was only a suggestion anyway :P Oh having said that as well, the school also use the Gym for exams, they have a protective white sheet which goes under the desks, we can always ask for that and i'm sure they would be happy to provide it.

Good work :D have to say though was worried a bit when downloading got to 60.50mb and it stopped for like ages lol then finished i was cursing like anyones buisness at my machine at that point lol :)

one other problem With Gymns they often dont have 3phase power and if Wilderns sports hall had 3 phase id expect thed use that

Yeah, well I will ask tomorrow, is phase 3 whatever what you need? I'll get all the details then. I hope it will be ok, cos i'm sure we could get double the people into those two gyms, it's always worth a shot anyway.

I asked the deputy head, he says the gyms are definitly for hire, and i told him what you guys were gonna be doing there. He says they can provide the protective layer for the flooring. I'm gonna ask about power tomorrow. I WILL keep you informed! I'll also get a general price. btw, a care taker must be there for the entire event or something (I doubt overnight) but i'm sure if theres gonna be about double the places, you can cover the costs easily!

Cheers for the comments guys, and yes i did splice in some of the old video. I needed to make it 8 mins (one of teh criteria for the project) and i was running out of footage. BLAG'AGE! :D
