Hi guys,

With just over 2 weeks to go until its LAN time the crew are currently in training for the next event and I gota say people are looking in great shape. putty_thing can now restart the FTP in just under 70.9 seconds, Gringo can make a full length patch lead in 50 seconds flat, I can nag putty_thing til he does something for hours before becoming tired and ineffective, Addz is away on a shouting course in case of a PA failure, Shadow is currently looking for some new super virus which can be used to attack tBG web server the night before the event(see event traditions) and Daish has been at a regatta. Not sure why thats training but he has :).

Anyway scarily enough there was actually a point to this post - we have secured an internet connection with location and can now offer all participants at the event access to the internet for the duration of the event. We have tried many times to sort this before with Wildern with very little success but we actually got to speak to the IT guy and it was all easy from there.

Additional - tickets are going very quickly right now, there is a strong rush on. I have noticed that some clans dont seem to have all their players signed up or paid. It would really suck if someone from your clan didnt make it so please remind them to get their name down and get the money in.

There are still many planB PC's left also.

See you soon

what speed? + will u put a big kickass firewall on it so u can only use port 27015 or something, like at i-series event; so people can play games, vent, internet, irc, but not use like filesharing programs like kazaa

It already has a firewall, afaik it will be purely for irc/browsing/msn etc and nothing else

Any filesharing software will be blocked

..

And as has been said, the connection will be restricted - the bandwidth isn't there to download warez with - that'd slow it down anyway.

We'll sort it so most common services are available.

the msot frustrating thing is that we know exactly what the problem is, but we cannot get to the schools router to fix it! !
