Following on from the success of last years Southampton Cyber Games,
StarBytes Cyber Cafe
is proud to announce
The Southampton Cyber Games 2005.


From 25th March - 28th March, Starbytes will be hosting a series of gaming tournaments including Painkiller, Counterstrike: Source, Trackmania Sunrise, Doom 3, Call of Duty and C&C Generals.

Prizes are coming in thick and fast, and so far include a GeForce 6600GT graphics card, Logitech MX310 Mice, Steelpad QCK Mousemats, T-Shirts and more.

A lot of the prizes at this event will given away on a Frag Lotto basis this year. This system gives everyone a number of virtual raffle tickets based on their performance at the various games, then we select a random virtual raffle ticket for each prize.

It works really well, as everyone stands a chance of winning, but you still get rewarded for being good.

I want one of those gfx cards for myself tbh - they get a stupid amount of FPS on CS:Source and HL2 with all the settings turned on.

I poped into Starbytes today anyway, looks very interesting, and seeming as I'll have my PC ready before that time, I think some easter fragging seems good :) On a note as well, Where is UT 2004?!?!?!

Btw Starbytes, sowie I didn't come back, decided to sort out getting the stuff online.

Can't see why there can't be some UT as well - I have to warn you tho, KC and Fishboy are a pretty hard act to beat.

Latest update - A sponsor is now offering to supply some uber GeForce6 PCs for a Doom3 tournament (to play on not to win - just in case).

hmm... if only id played any games since xmas, or had time to go, or if only da wedgeh was there to scream at me for doing something stupid :D but it just wouldnt be the same ;(
