This is the second Samo at this venue, 3 star hotel with all the facilities.

Gotta admire that venue and only 30 squids a head. The room appears even to be Air conned and really accessible. Would like to know the size of the LAN (I gather the room is capable of 90+ on a good day) and details of previous event though.

Will need to add on another 50 sobs for the old timers swank pit but still looks good and a strong emphasis on gaming all in all looks nice.

Hi there, i thought i would try and answer the question's raised so far in this thread, so i'll make a list of answers...if i've missed anything out bug me for more details :) here goes.....

The lan party has an 80 - 90 person capacity.
You can sleep in the room with a sleeping bag or get a hotel room.
We still have room for 30 odd people if you guys are interested.
The hotel is awesome, very big room, good facilities, good location too. A hotel provides the luxury of comfort, choice, and 24hour security for you and your machine.
The tournaments will get more competitive as the lans progress each time.
We are not using SPIRE for our sponsorship anymore, we have official sponsorship from Corsair, and have applied for places holding better prizes.

I've noticed some of you are from southampton! I am at uni in southampton and still around if anyone wants to meet up and talk it through.

There will be people convoying from southampton on the day so if you want to follow them feel free!

The LAN may be a bit far for some people, but you will definitely get your money's worth.

The games are about having fun, and the lan is about social carnage and like minded company. We welcome anyone alone, or clanned, young or old. People under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

We have two projector's, dc++, game servers, 100tlan on 1gb backbone.

You guys seem like good people, and the community here looks awesome. You are all welcome to attend and build up the LAN community spirit. We are in the position to increase the room size of our hotel venue when more people start attending our lan. u can also add afro_diziak@hotmail.com if u want some info.

Me too Tubs... Very tempting... Can you confirm this room is air conned the hotel website does not state exactly and would be nice to get a cool room in the summer (although any unit that can keep a room that size with that many rigs in it is gonna cost a bob or two)
