Me being the bored/sad/deluded student i am sighned up to a random fact of the day email list. Guess what, im gonna share them with you!
1. A man has more hairs than a gorilla (a gorillas are just longer.)
2. A platapus (or platapi) is the only mammal that lays eggs.
3. In his or her lifetime, the average meat-eater consumes the equivalent of 760 chickens, 20 pigs, 29 sheep, five cows and half a trawler-load of fish. (tubbyman, its about twice that for u and me!)
4. The dot over the 'i' is called the 'tittle'.
5. Mohammed is the most common first name in the world.
6. The first CD released was Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA on June 4 1984.
7. Most people gain around 5lbs over Christmas, having consumed 6000 calories on Christmas Day alone.
8. Approximately 100 people chock to death on ballpoint pens every year.
9. You can live longer without eating than without sleeping. Most humans can last several weeks without food but only about ten days without sleep (With students its about 10hrs, unless alcohol is present!)
