Does anyone know if theyve patched BF2 so that it supports the ATI 9250r (PCI =/). Because obviously it's the "big thing" at the event and it'd be a shame if i cant get it to work =(.
If anyone knows any bodge jobs... or hacks or SOMETHING like that, that i can tweak to make it work, then please let me know =)

ATi have just released new cat drivers, not looked into them though - they might be what you are looking for.

Techincally that card should work, in practise the list is very different. You do have PS 1.4, but for some reason EA chose not to support it.
Battlefield 2 only supports the following video cards: (minimum 128MB)
Radeon X700 (PCIe)
Radeon X600 (PCIe)
GeForce 6600 (PCIe)
GeForce PCX 5900 (PCIe)
GeForce 5800 Series (AGP)
ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition
ATI Radeon X800 PRO
ATI Radeon 9800 Series
ATI Radeon 9600 Series
ATI Radeon 9550 (RV350LX)
ATI Radeon 9500 / 9700 Series
ATI Radeon 8500 Series
ATI Radeon X300 Series
NVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra
NVidia GeForce 6800 GT
NVidia GeForce 6800
NVidia GeForce FX 5950 Series
NVidia GeForce FX 5900 Series
NVidia GeForce FX 5700 Series
But some people have made it work by:
"Right click on your desktop and select properties,Display Properties will pop up,click the settings tab and just before the very bottom on the right you will see the ADVANCED button click it,then another window opens with a bunch of tab buttons for different settings for your Radeon, click on SMARTGART[tm], you will then see a little slide bar, slide it to 4X, also make sure Fast Write is off, hit apply then ok, it'll ask you to reboot ,reboot then start BF2"

Theres also a patch for people with cards that have pixel shader but where its a lower version than 1.4 - for instance those with a geforce 4 ti4200. Google for it, although I'm not sure how well, if at all it will work.

NVidia GeForce 6800 GT
Phew! I'm all good for go then.

if it's a pci card though then agp 4 or 8x makes no difference :(
